Hello again! For the past few months, I've been working relentlessly on classes and balancing them with work and other adult duties. I've [almost] officially decided to go with visual effects as my major, and I'm now taking my first class that deals with incorporating 3D renders into a live-action space, working with rotoscoping, matchmoving, and recently a quick introduction to particle systems. Here are two of my finished projects.

So, I definitely haven't died during these past few months, but I have neglected to post anything. (Sadface) I am here to bring you wonderful news, though, as I have been back at school for the past month and am learning many new things.
What I wanted to show you were some jpegs of things I made in Maya, a 3D modeling and animating software. I've been having a lot of fun with it, and I'm starting to catch on to the neverending complexities. Here ya go! So, as per the syllabus for my Motion Image Production II class, I was required to film and edit together a documentary with a partner. My partner Amy Isaac and I traveled to Skokie, Illinois, where we interviewed the manager of this pretty amazing store. You should watch it. I've finally finished my animation and now only have to turn it in next Wednesday. I edited together the rough shoot so I had something I could post, but I probably will be posting the nicer version soon (which will not have the crappy background). Enjoy!
Hey, so after my first few assignments for animation, I'm thinking about changing my concentration. I really enjoyed these two projects (one of which isn't finished yet), and I'm looking forward to my final project. I love this class!
So, I've noticed that quite a few people have been missing the links up at the top of the page. You should check them out! One is my school, another is the Film Festival I volunteered at, and the third is my first semester film class assignments, the beautiful work of my homies in SizzaPunch! Coming soon (aka the end of the semester): a few brand new shorts and most likely a bit of animation.
